Otherwise, I'll read about the humour in other opinion columns that don't sound like an equal dose of sour grapes.

Credit the guy for his bravura.  Discredit him for his short-sightedness.

His wife is right - the people want to flog themselves.  Let the conservatives enjoy the whipping for a while, why dontcha?
